The design embraces the prevalent tranquility of its context, creating a setting allowing its inhabitants to transition from chaos to calm. Nestled within the embrace of arecanut plantations and offering uninterrupted views of the Nilgiris, the spatial experience of this single-storey farmhouse is a reconnection with nature’s slower rhythms.

Intentionally understated, the material palette is a mix of subtle surfaces, neutral tones and tactile finishes. Together, they cultivate a mood of restful simplicity.

This single-storey farmhouse, set amidst verdant arecanut plantations is a tranquil escape from the city’s chaos with sweeping views of the Nilgiris.

Traditional Kota stone flooring runs throughout the home, lending its timeless and grounding presence. Its cool surface contrasts with the warmth of the lush landscape beyond.

Hand-selected art pieces and traditional objects find their place throughout the home alongside modern furniture. This dialogue of heritage elements with modern sensibilities defines the home’s identity.

Every design choice reinforces the overarching narrative of simplicity and authenticity. The result is a home that becomes an extension of nature without imposing its presence.
